15th Annual Father’s Day Weekend BOAT SHOW – SWAP MEET – FUNDRAISER The weather was wet, but obviously blessings can come through raindrops! We had all but 10 of our powerboat listings on the guest dock in the La Conner Marina and had a fabulous variety of boats available to step aboard! So far, due to your generosity, we were able to raise over $2,600.00 in donations for our 2011 benefactor, SKAGIT BAY SEARCH AND RESCUE. Thank you so very much!! These much needed funds will help to defray SBSAR insurance and fuel costs, equipment needs and training. Hundreds of hot dogs were consumed, and your wonderful donations were once again very generous! Please know that your donations go to our benefactor, SKAGIT BAY SEARCH AND RESCUE. We have enjoyed serving the community in such a fun and entertaining manner!!! A very heartfelt THANK YOU to SARA LEE BALL PARK FRANKS for their donation of the hot dogs! And thank you to Costco for their help with the condiments.
Thanks to all the swap meet participants, both buyers and sellers alike! We had reservations for a full house, but the weather dampened the turnout, this being our first year of rain, rain, rain!
We have so many people to thank, this annual event takes so many volunteers to set up, run and take down. Friends drove up from Oregon, the remainder are locals or from around Washington state (Edmonds, Seattle, Camano Island, Anacortes, Mercer Island, Hood Canal, Bonney Lake, Woodinville and Kenmore). It is imperative that we thank each friend individually;

We can’t say it enough; we are very, very appreciative of the La Conner Marina! The commissioners welcomed our event with their approval, the harbormaster Paul Mattos has been splendid during this very busy time, and we need to especially acknowledge the ENTIRE marina staff for their front line help, support, professionalism and all around great attitude. The La Conner Marina is outstanding year after year, we really enjoyed ourselves and truly appreciate all their support, enthusiasm, time and efforts!
Our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated, whether you were visiting, selling treasures at the swap meet, moving boats into place, perusing the boats, helping with the tents, food, signage, etc...We appreciate every one of you!!
